Note, most band programs require the following criteria to be met before a final scholarship offer is made. Yes, you can still audition if the steps aren't completed, but you may not receive an official offer until they're done. Remember, band scholar funds can run out quickly.
We encourage you to complete these steps BEFORE your audition in February:
-
Acceptance for admission into the College/University
-
FAFSA must be submitted, and the info sent to the College/University
Each band program has unique requirements for its scholarship opportunities; however, they all typically expect students to demonstrate their ability to play their major scales (arpeggios), chromatic scale, and at least one etude/solo.
